Connecting Telegram to your site

Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging service. One of the most leading features of Telegram are its bots — the tools that allow you to perform various actions without leaving the application. Thus, you can connect Telegram bot to the contact form on your site to automatically send all requests to the messenger and associate this messenger with Your Store to be aware of its notifications in real time.

Important: These options are available to Pro sites only.

Step 1. Accessing the Chat ID



Sign up or log in to your Telegram account.

Enter @site_notify_bot in the Search field and click its tab in the list to open the Notification Bot:



To initiate the bot, send the ”/start” message or click the Start button:







Copy the generated Chat ID to your clipboard:



Note: The chat ID from your Telegram account must be unique (the ID shown on the screenshot above is used for example).


Step 2. Finishing the connection



For that, enter the site Settings, navigate to the Form management section (1) and open the Integrations tab (2):



Press on the Telegram field, enter the retrieved Chat ID and click Connect to establish the connection of your form with the bot:




Note: Make sure to paste your Chat ID without extra spaces before and after the number.

To enable the integration, go to the Integrations tab in the contact form settings and toggle the Telegram switch on:



Don't forget to publish your site.

Done! If the connection is successful, you will receive the following message from the bot:

|||${color}[#ec6800](Note:) in case you've already connected Telegram to a contact form on your site, move to Step 2 and enter the same Chat ID that you used to integrate Telegram into your contact form there.

Sign up or log in to your Telegram account.

Enter @site_notify_bot in the Search field and click its tab in the list to open the Notification Bot:



To initiate the bot, send the “/start” message or click the Start button:





Copy the generated Chat ID to your clipboard:




Step 2. Finishing the connection



Open the settings of your site and navigate to the Settings in the Your store tab:



Open the Notifications tab and enter the copied Chat ID in the following field, then click Connect:



Publish your site for the changes to appear live.

Now, you will receive the following message from the bot each time a client submits an order in your store:
